It’s Only a Matter of Time

Tic…tic…tic…the Universal clock is ticking away the final minutes of the current timeline. As the flood of revelations continues and we are being made to see the full extent of the corruption of our world, the death of the current system(s) is nigh. There can no longer be any doubt about who is actually running our world and the deception of our involvement. We have never truly been in charge.  Instead, it has been an invisible web of truly evil beings who are intent only upon their own wealth. They have never cared about us. But as Orpheus sings in Hadestown:

The truth of these sentiments is bearing out. We are witnessing the power of the people when we stand up against evil. It is also being proven that in the end, truth always wins out and deception cannot stand. As Jesus once said,

This is where we find ourselves as the final moments tick away – revelations of lies and the collapse of an empire clearing the way for a new world to begin. Which brings me to the point of this writing:

This is the question we can begin to ask ourselves as the empire breathes its final breath, and as we enjoy a well-deserved sigh of relief. Seeing the end of this is our reward – it is what we have lived for. And now we allow ourselves to begin to dream of a new world, and our place in it.

Please watch this site for support in dreaming that new world into being.

Between Two Worlds

Sisters and brothers, I am writing this from a place between time and space – a space between two worlds – between a world that has been and a world that is yet to be. The world as we have known it has been dying – rapidly and violently – accompanied by a cacophony of voices – some crying out in rage, others wailing out loss, many mumbling in confusion, and some have simply grown silent out of either shock or fatigue.

There is no judgment here. There is no right or wrong way of processing a catastrophic end. We are all simply trying to survive an end we predicted but could never have imagined would be this bad.

It is shocking to see the ever-unfolding revelation of human corruption. Every day we are met with another all-time low:

Yes, it can. And yes, it likely will. But the news isn’t all bad. In fact, even the worst of what we have seen so far is good (or at the very least, serving a higher good) when we see it through the proper lens. For the end to finally come (come on already!), every single falsehood upon which the illusion of freedom has been built must be revealed to be seen. Every single corruption upon which the Empire was built must show itself. Every failure of the system must be known. Every lie, every betrayal, every evil, every sin, must come forth so that when the current system finally completes its collapse, we will know what needs to be different as we build the world that is yet to be.

But we’re not there yet. Right now, we are in the gap. The gap between what is dying and what is yet to be. In the gap, we wait. We watch. We observe. We protect each other. We do our best to keep ourselves and each other safe. We mark the outrage. We speak truth to power. We hold ourselves and our loved ones as we grieve. We extend kindness to each other as together we are simply trying to survive a world in its demise. We allow ourselves the fallow time to simply be as our body, minds, and spirit process the horrors, the tragedies, and the fear – our own and that of the collective.

Now is not the time to build. Now is the time to HOLD. To hold on to center as best we can – knowing that as tragedies strike, we will get pulled away from center in our anger and our grief. We honor our need to rage, to speak out, to defend. And then we bring ourselves back – TO LOVE. Love that can see beyond the surface violence to the unraveling of corruption. Love that can see the tragic woundedness of men that would make them want to perpetuate violence. Love that sees the actions of Love in a sea of hate and understand that with each loving act, a new world is being born.

Being Gentle with Ourselves

It is near impossible to ignore the death throes of the dying empire. We are bombarded with the symptoms every day – often every minute of every day. It is constant and relentless.

What we may forget to heed, however, is the credit we are due for enduring the constant assault on our being – our bodies, minds, and spirits are all suffering from the assault of a world gone mad. Admittedly, “enduring” might be overreach when on most days simply surviving feels like an enormous effort. The fact that you’re reading this, however, tells me that at the very least, you are surviving. Perhaps just by the skin of your teeth – but you’re still here.  That’s the point.

The dying world is not meant to destroy us (though there will be those destroyed by the collapse). It will test and challenge us. In direct opposition to our conditioning, the purpose of the test is not so that we might exert our strength or bolster our will. Instead, the invitation in the face of the dying system is to learn how to be soft. Instead of toughening us, the empire’s collapse is meant to make us more gentle. Gentle with ourselves – and others.

Learning to be gentle starts with ourselves. It begins with a thorough examination of our conditioning and all the ways we were ridiculed, condemned, criticized or rejected for being sensitive, kind, quiet, compassionate, caring, sharing, and gentle. The examination continues by exploring how our conditioning told us how we should be instead: strong, brave, courageous, competitive, tough, bullet-proof, etc. In the world that is dying, we have not been rewarded for being gentle – only for being tough. The new world that we are moving into will reward us for being gentle.

Choosing that new world starts today. Give yourself credit for the suffering you have endured in your life thus far. Acknowledge the losses, betrayals, deceptions, and heartbreaks you have suffered. If you have suffered trauma, offer yourself grace when your past traumas are triggered. Give yourself permission to do nothing, to wallow, to “rot” (as Gen Z’s say). If your panic or fear are triggered and your brain goes numb, allow yourself to check out. Be quiet. Be still.  BE NON-Productive (our value is NOT determined by our productivity – as much as we’ve been told otherwise)!  Defy the capitalistic, patriarchal expectations around striving after achievement, seeking to be known or seen. Popularity does not determine our value!  When you’re feeling sad – be sad. Weep, cry, wail, flail. Do whatever you need to do to be present with your feelings and then take a rest. Nap. Sleep. Read. Listen to music. Take a day or three to do absolutely nothing. Hide under the covers. Retreat into your cave. Walk slowly and gently. Be conscious of your breathing and slow it down. Close your eyes and just listen to the quiet of the universe. Meditate. Pray. Be simple with your meals. No one expects you to be Martha Stewart. Say no to invitations. Don’t buy into the shoulds of holidays. Skip the decorations and the pressure.

And more than any of this – be gentle with yourself. Cease from judging your feelings and just accept them as they are. Don’t condemn yourself for your sensitivity – celebrate it. Hold yourself in gently fierce loving care when you feel like you are falling apart. Be compassionate with yourself when you break down or shut down or dissociate. Don’t measure your day by how you are feeling. If it takes you 3 days or a week to get through a trigger response, then that’s exactly what you needed. Celebrate your willingness to give yourself exactly what you need.

Journeying through the collapse of an empire is an experience like no other. As it’s been several hundred years since the most recent collapse of western civilization, we’re entitled to feel burdened and overwhelmed. We also know from the past that it is not the loud or the brave who survived, but those who knew how to move quietly, slowly, even invisibly, and who more than anything, knew how to be loving toward themselves, gentle and caring toward others. Let this be our invitation as we navigate the death throes – that our gentleness be our salvation.

The Heartbreak is Real

I shared the other day about living in the 13th dimension and how this often feels like living in two different worlds. Today I find myself very much in the density of the 3d world (the world of duality and separation) and in that density feeling deeply and profoundly sad.

While I (and many others) have known the collapse of the empire was coming, there is nothing that can prepare us for how truly brutal and heartbreaking that collapse would be. As the stock market lost another 2200 points Friday, I found myself in a state of panic that was truly not my own. I have zero savings and no investments, so I have nothing to lose when the market crashes. I suspect it is the empath in me that is feeling this impact as millions of people watch their retirement and investment accounts disintegrate. As I know nothing really about stocks, I can’t help but wonder if this is a really big “big short,” purposefully initiated to make billionaires even richer. Or if the goal is to absolutely destroy the American economy. Either/both feel likely. Combine this with the elimination of free-trade, and even the non-empathic part of me fears that an economic depression is upon us (who am I kidding….the depression is already here). This does not bode well for the poor or middle class. It’s likely not even good for the low to middle upper class.

Economics notwithstanding, my heart is breaking over the violence being done to immigrants (legal and non-legal), transgender youth and adults, student protestors exercising their right to free speech, and all those around the planet who are suffering under wartime violence that has been in-part supported by the United States (Gaza, Ukraine, Sudan, Yemen, to name a few). And in what universe is it appropriate to seek the expansion of American territories by seizing other people’s lands?

Further, there are the questions of human rights – most pointedly – those (supposedly) guaranteed by our Constitution. There are proposals in place that would effectively eliminate a married woman’s right to vote (for example). Rhetoric has been thrown around about certain men wanting women to have more babies – as if this is the sole purpose of a woman. It may interest many to know that The Handmaid’s Tale was not meant to be a work of prophecy. Yet here we are.

And don’t get me started on the “Christian Right.” When (Speaker of the House) Mike Johnson speaks, I can assure you he knows NOT what he speaks. If he has read the bible, he seems to have missed the point.

Finally, there’s the burning question about the system of checks and balances that we were taught to believe would keep illegal things from happening and would protect our Constitution. Until four senators voted against Trump’s tariffs and Cory Booker completed his record-breaking 25-hour filibuster, Congress and the Supreme Court have remained silent. It makes me wonder – are they all in on it? Whatever “it” is. I’ve also been wondering at the silence of past presidents. (Thank you President Obama for finally speaking out!)

It is a sad and tragic time for the United States, and, by association, for the rest of the world. I’m grateful for my international friends who continue to offer words of support, knowing and understanding that it is truly the minority of Americans who support what is happening politically and economically, and that the majority of us want something else from our country.

Whereas the American dream has always been a kind of a lie, there are deep truths buried underneath the biases of the founding fathers. As outlined in the Constitution of the United States:

  • A government by and for the people (all people).
  • Insuring a fair and impartial legal system (for ALL).
  • Seeking after and supporting peace.
  • Promoting the well-being of all its citizens (while advocating for the well-being of all people on this planet).
  • Securing liberty and freedom for ALL.
  • And protecting the rights of its citizens as outlined in the Bill of Rights.

Whereas these statements may originally have been intended only for white landowners, for 250 years these words have been a beacon of hope and provided a vision of potential for all the United States can and could be. Many (including myself) still believe in this implied vision and in the continued expansion of this vision to include all those who find their way to our shores, and every single human being living within the boundaries of our nation today. Until the rights of all are ensured and protected, then the United States is only a shell of what it could be – and an ugly shell at that. Shame on us if we allow the very few who hold the gold to strip away the rights that so many have died defending.

I am deeply saddened by what I am witnessing as the collapse of what our nation and the dream of what could have been. I also believe (wish/hope) that the dying we are currently observing is leading to the beginning of something better. I can envision the something better – all that the Constitution promises and then some – but in the meantime, my heart is breaking over all those who will be the unwitting carnage of the empire seemingly intent on destroying itself.

The World Needs You

Desperately!

As we are finding our way through the great collapse, I am reminded of how now is not a time to shy away. Instead, “all hands on deck” is imperative. But not necessarily in the way that our capitalistic conditioning would have us believe. Instead, we are invited to look deep within ourselves to be reminded of our true uniqueness and how we are called to bring that forth.

Each and everyone of us is uniquely gifted to participate in the collapse of the empire. Some are being hospice for the dying world- tending to the grief that comes when things are coming to an end, providing comfort, hope, and pain relief. Some are visionaries – imagining what a new world might look like. Some are prophetic messengers – pointing out the truths that no one wants to admit. Some are revealers – pulling back the veil of illusion so that the sometimes difficult truth can be seen. Some are healers, providing care and support for those who are hurting. Some are beacons who simply by their presence are leading and guiding people to truth and love. Some are gatherers – bringing forth community for a common cause. Some are builders – creating something new out of the ash of the old. Then we have our artists, writers, poets, musicians, dancers, etc. – all those who communicate despair, frustration, rage, beauty and hope through their arts so that all we are feeling in the midst of the collapse might be given expression.

These are the gifts we want to acknowledge. But, beyond perceived separation there is unity and wholeness. From the perspective of wholeness, even that which we might judge as evil or destructive is also playing its role in the story of the great collapse. These men and women are showing us what is in need of healing among us. They are showing us the lies and deceptions upon which this empire was built. They are showing us our greed, our gluttony, our lust for power, and the truth of our envious natures. They are reflecting back to us corruption, prejudice, and hatred. They are living out their pre-ordained roles as harbingers of truth – the truths we don’t really want to see or acknowledge about ourselves. It is only in seeing the truth of our woundedness as a species that we can begin to bring forth healing.

The journey is difficult, but the destination is the same. No matter what role we are playing in this drama, it is all leading to the same place.  The place and the destination is LOVE. Whether that Love is something we uncover within ourselves, or something we come together to build, it is all the same. We came here for the purpose of Love, to come to know Love, to heal all the barriers to that Love, and then to live out that Love. Experiencing life is how we get there – each in our own unique way.

The Second American Revolution

Indeed. We are here. Everyone can see it.  Even those who benefit from the current patriarchal, hierarchical, capitalistic systems.

Why else would our world be so chaotic and have the appearance of a complete and total shit show?

  • Poverty and homelessness are raging.
  • Inflation is running rampant.
  • Corporations are getting fat off profits while Americans starve.
  • Corporations have destroyed the environment.
  • Wars are raging around us as Corporate America gets fat off the spoils of war – wars the US is paying for.

As all of this is happening, the puppet masters of our nation are purposefully trying to distract us with thoughts of blame, taking advantage of our human tendency toward projection:

“It can’t be the system that’s wrong!  It must be those other people.”

(whomever those others are to those who want to hate them.)

The truth at the heart of all the chaos, inequity, and injustice is that the lies of patriarchal capitalism are being revealed.

It is not the fault of a singular political party, a person’s race, gender, sexual orientation, religion or ethnicity.

The fault, indeed, is with the system. A hierarchical, patriarchal, capitalistic system created with the sole purpose and intent to increase the wealth of white, male, landowners. The first American Revolution was not fought for the sake of our freedom (as we have been taught). Instead, it was fought for the sake of the wealthy few who sought to have this nation for themselves and to have it unencumbered by the laws of Britain. They didn’t care for the people who were already here. They didn’t care for the rights of women. They didn’t care for anyone other than themselves, but they worked really hard to convince us otherwise.

The mess we are in today began over 200 years ago when white, wealthy men came up with their “great idea.” An idea that was flawed from the beginning and which has continued to create systems that favor the liberty of one single demographic. An idea that has proved itself to be unsustainable. As the powerful few are getting rich, the world itself is being destroyed.

America is a nation divided – not by race, religion, or gender (as the puppet masters would have us believe) – but by power. The powerful few getting fat off the backs of the other 99.9%. As Jesus said, “Every nation divided against itself is laid waste, and no city or house divided against itself will stand.” (Matthew 12: 25)

This is what we are witnessing.  The collapse of an empire under the weight of its own unjust inception. And in the face of this collapse, we have a choice. Do we follow the distractions of the empire as it works to pit us against each other, or do we come together in our collective suffering and rise up?  In rising up, we rise above the chaos and confusion, distractions and projections, and come together with one common goal – to right that which was made wrong 200 years ago.

The second American revolution will not be fought with guns or bombs but will instead be won through a collective desire to create a new world – one in which the needs of all are met, where compassion and justice reign, and where all are free to enjoy the liberties that are currently enjoyed only by a powerful few.
