Financial Contribution
In traditional contemplative communities, formation is free to the participant, but is paid for by the institutional church in which the participant is a member. This payment comes out of the wealth of the institution or is generated through the work of its vowed members.
As a secular order, we do not have the wealth of an institution or working members who are made to contribute their income to the operation of the order. As such, we are not able to provide formation for free. We do, however, recognize that each one called to the Order of the Magdalene formation program arrives here with a diversity of resources. Some have much. Some have little. Some have nothing at all. With this in mind, we offer our training on a sliding scale, starting with a recommendation based on what would be fair for those of abundant means, negotiating lower fees for those with lesser means. Even for those with nothing at all, we do ask for some sort of contribution – if not in money, then in support. We have learned that motivation tends to thrive when we have some skin in the game.
Enrollment Details:
Format: 64 weeks of coursework plus 6 one-on-one sessions with Lauri Ann Lumby, OM, OPM,MATS, course creator and facilitator.
Investment: Two payment options:
One payment of $2600.00.
12 monthly payments of $220.00 each.

The first course of your training will be activated within 24 hours of receipt of payment. You will receive a formal welcome letter via email, along with a separate email confirming your enrollment with instructions for activating your course.
Cancellation policy: There will be no refunds on the Order of the Magdalene Formation Program once you have begun.
This training is unlike any other Magdalene training as it is deeply rooted in canonical and non-canonical scripture, scholarship, contemplative practice, and developmental psychology.

Resurrecting the Magdalene– 6 weeks
The purpose of this course is to reveal and share in the deeper and hidden truths about the Magdalene and her time with Jesus; including her roles as student, initiate, co-equal partner, wife, facilitator and witness to the resurrection, and the one sent to continue Jesus’ mission of being love in the world. Participants are empowered through the course to reclaim their own Divine Feminine and are activated to be a vessel of Divine Love in the world.
Uniquely Gifted– 13 weeks
Discover your own unique gifts—the gifts you have been given to experience meaning and purpose in your life and through which you will find fulfillment for yourself and in service to the betterment of the world.
Into the Wilderness* – 10 weeks
Learn the seven core fears that prevent you from being your most magnificent and fulfilled self, along with proven tools for moving through and overcoming those fears.
The Gospel of Mary Magdalene** – 12 weeks
This course provides an in-depth study of the Gospel of Mary Magdalene – a critically important text in the exploration of women’s roles in matters of spirituality and religion, but more importantly as recipients and communicators of the Divine. Course concludes with your own self-facilitated dedication ceremony.
Song of Love**– 9 weeks
Learn and apply the Aramaic Prayer of Jesus as a powerful tool for moving through the fears and inner obstacles for living your truth and fulfilling your life purpose.
Know Thyself – 12 weeks
Exploring the Enneagram as a tool for self-empowerment and as a resource for balancing your fear-based perceptions and behaviors, ultimately harnessing your Soul’s purpose as a reformer, helper, achiever, muse, sage, strategist, enthusiast, champion or peacemaker.

From Western Spirituality, The Order of the Magdalene Formation Program has its roots in the original teachings of Jesus* which Mary, called Magdalene fully understood and which were then formalized into the meditation, contemplation and service practices of Western Monasticism, specifically those favored in Benedictine, Franciscan, and Ignatian spirituality.
All courses are based upon the foundation of sound psycho-spiritual formation, rooted in a gnostic/experiential/mystical approach to scripture, freeing the participant to transcend religious dogma, thereby discovering the hidden wisdom that leads us all toward unity and oneness – the Oneness that Jesus came to know and which he attempted to teach his disciples. Mary Magdalene is recognized as the one who most fully understood and received his teachings. The Order of the Magdalene Formation Program empowers participants to know themselves – discovering their own unique giftedness and how they are called to share these gifts for the sake of their own fulfillment and in service to the betterment of the world.
Scripture Disclaimer: You will notice that scripture plays a predominant role in my writing and in most of my local and online courses. Please note that my approach to scripture is unlike any you have likely experienced before! I do not approach scripture from a dogmatic or doctrinal perspective. Neither do I use it as a way to instill fear or manipulate specific actions or behaviors. Instead, I approach scripture as the ancients did – as a collection of stories which have the opportunity to reflect back to us aspects of ourselves. In this way, scripture becomes a vehicle through which our highest self can speak to us – providing guidance, support, inspiration, nourishment and even healing. When we pierce through the veil of other people’s interpretations and allow the Divine to speak to us personally and directly through these ancient texts, we discover the transformational power of The Word as it was originally intended – as a tool to guide and sustain us on the path of love.
