Still the One

I’m still the one

who knelt before You

waiting to be of use.

The pious child.

Hands folded.

Earnestly praying:

“I offer everything to You

and for the poor souls in purgatory.”

Earth is purgatory.

Billions of poor souls crying out in pain.

Begging to be heard.

Pleading for their thirst to be quenched.

That unquenchable, eternal thirst

that is only, always and forever for You.

I am the one still praying

and wanting to be of use.

Use me.

  1. Our Lord is aware of our ongoing prayers of anguish as they rise as incense to heaven for all of those who suffer under the terrible consequences of war.

”Lord, in your mercy” is still the preamble to all of our prayers. Our kneeling ties us to their suffering. I cast aside the methods so popular today to insulate ourselves from the abject need of those who are forced to live with experiencing the death of their children.

We continue to kneel either before the high altar or in the closet of our homes. Our kneeling does not go unnoticed by our God who sees and knows all things. The energies arising from our prostrations do have the power to stir up acts of mercy and justice.

There is no doubt that being on our knees is where we belong whereby our submissive posture moves those who just don’t “give a damm,” about the hurting and instead will bring about acts of kindness.

We started our kneeling at Bethleham and Easter raised us up to plead, ”Jesus, stand among us ( including the wounded and the hurting”) in your RISEN POWER.

Save us from the tendancy to think our words are for nought. Let us perceive them as living means to bring about change and healing. Jesus the Christ has charged us to have this faith.
